Her debut in the Nieuwe Kerk last season was a great success. Now pianist Daria van den Bercken plays a beautiful Christmas programme with concertmaster Wouter Vossen as leader. Naturally, George Frideric Handel is on the programme as well as Bach and one of his famous sons, Johann Christian. Haydn’s Symphony No. 96 was nicknamed ‘The Miracle’ because at the premiere a chandelier fell from the ceiling and, miraculously, no one was injured.
A complete evening!
Tickets include wardrobe, coffee/tea and a drink during the intermission.
