Pianist Yeol Eum Son is only 33 years old but already has an impressive career behind her. She is internationally acclaimed for her graceful, timeless interpretations and versatility. This season, the Residentie Orkest welcomes the South Korean musician as artist in residence. With chief conductor Nicholas Collon, Son will perform Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2, a piece full of passion and virtuosity. Collon will then put Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No.2 on the music stand: sultry, mysterious, majestic and compelling.
