Dejan Lazic plays Beethoven - Cancelled

Sunday 22 November,14:00
Zuiderstrandtheater, Den Haag

Due to the new, stricter measures regarding Covid-19, this concert has been cancelled. If you have tickets for this concert, you will receive an e-mail from the Zuiderstrandtheater box office as soon as possible about this.

Prominent Croatian-Austrian piano virtuoso Dejan Lazic, a resident of the Netherlands for many years, returns to The Hague. He is the soloist in Beethoven’s Second Piano Concerto, with which the composer celebrated triumphs in Vienna at the time. We also honour Dutch composer Theo Verbey, who passed away last year, with his ‘Fractal Variations’ for string orchestra. In addition, there is the belated performance of Jean Sibelius’ final symphony, which was initially on the programme for last spring but was postponed due to the coronavirus measures. A symphony full of fascinating sound worlds, arguably the best that Finland has to offer.
