Sentimental pirates, tough captain

Pie de Palo, Pé de Pau, Pied de Pol, El Pirata …. or simply Houtebeen (‘Pegleg’), alias Cornelis Jol, comes from a seafaring Scheveningen family. He is an admiral in the Dutch West India Company and plunders lots of gold and silver booty in his attacks on ships in the Atlantic Ocean. But the raging sea has other plans for him. The sirens call and his ship falls into the clutches of an ominous devil. The performance features music by Arthur Sullivan (‘The Pirates of Penzance’) and is loosely based on the ghost opera ‘The Flying Dutchman’. Following the success of ‘Harde Handen’, ‘De Vloek’ and ‘Scheveningse Kuren’, there’s a new fleet on the block. Join in and sing along!

A complete evening!
Tickets include wardrobe, coffee/tea and a drink during the intermission.
