adventurous, epic, effervescent, naked
Without Mozart, there could have been no Mahler. The Austrian landscapes that Mozart painted in his adventurous Violin Concerto are the same Mahler saw in his epic Fifth Symphony. Mahler himself said about his work “Every note is full of vitality and spins around as if in a whirlwind. There are no romantic or mystical elements; it’s nothing but an expression of unheard-of and unmatched power. It is man in broad daylight, at the peak of his life.”
