unspoiled, idyllic, breathtaking, masterful

Mendelssohn made regular journeys around Great Britain and found Scotland to be particularly inspiring. The savage beauty of the Scottish landscape inspired him to write not only his overture The Hebrides, in which you hear the waves pounding against the rocks, but his Scottish symphony too. In addition to Mendelssohn’s delightful music, Mandolin virtuoso Avi Avital will make the sun shine bright in wonderful concertos by Vivaldi and the young Israeli composer Avner Dorman.

“Everything you never dreamt a mandolin could do … truly breathtaking in virtuosity and dedication.” –
