Tchaikovsky’s last

Andrea Battistoni made his triumphant debut with the award-winning opera ‘La Bohème’ at the Dutch National Opera. There was unprecedented chemistry between the Residentie Orkest and this passionate conductor. Battistoni now returns to the Residentie Orkest to conduct Tchaikovsky’s last and best-known work, the Pathétique. Shortly after its premiere, the composer chose death over life. Star cellist Leonard Elschenbroich also returns to The Hague with Shostakovich’s compelling Cello Concerto No. 2.

A complete afternoon!
Tickets include wardrobe, coffee/tea and a drink during the intermission.
