As part of the international project and the 2nd International Fellowship weekend the Rotary Club the Hague Metropolitan invites you the concert Helden on the 11th of may performed by het Residentie Orkest.
War has its horrors, but it also has a place for honour, courage, spirit of sacrifice and heroism. The tragedy may be that the one cannot exist without the other. The two sides of the coin writhe and grate in the unbearably exciting Cello Concerto by Shostakovich. A mature and intense work that is in the capable hands of the international star cellist Julian Steckel. And don’t forget – it’s also the debut of visionary conductor Christoph Poppen!
Support a Medical Center
By enjoying an excellent concert, you will support our cause of providing the medical centre “Amici del Pantanal” with dental equipment. The doctors of this medical centre have identified that dental care and oral hygiene are very important since they can prevent future ailments. This centre treats its patients for free, to ensure that the less fortunate have proper access to dental care.
A dream you dream alone is only a dream.
